He never really understood how he could've been a Gembond. Oh, sure, they're reasonably rarer than being basic-- but still, when you've gotten other dragons laughing at you, it becomes annoying. Maybe too annoying. It usually went like:
"So, wow. There's coal on you!"
"Coal, that ain't coal. That's some black rock."
"Or maybe it's some burnt up, really burnt up coal, y'know."
"I thought those snooty gemmers have all sorts of precious rocks on them?"
"Nah, it's just an ordinary rock."
And he glares back at them. The fellas always snickered and ran away, talking about how he'd pelt them with his "rocks" if they laughed at him for too long.
His parents have been "somehow" beautiful. His pap had splash-colored gems. Sea stones. His ma wasn't a gembond, she had an underbelly. He kind of wished that he was like her instead.
There was something about young males his age. They usually either looked good or downright ugly. But when you're two-thirds handsome and a third peculiar, you still end up in that zone called "average", and females won't bother to even think of you in any other way except for as a friend.
He shared his troubles with his sister, who was quite shocked that guys even have problems with their appearances. She seemed to enjoy how awkward he was, a humorous thing that he was a romanticist. He might be a mighty imperial, but see how he flops around like a fish! In her opinion, he didn't look that bad. But maybe that was only because he was family, and she was biased.
He was not convinced. She laughed and told him to change his name-- maybe it would make him more popular and then he'll meet the girl of his dreams, the other half of his heart. He did; he was serious. This was getting funnier.
His family sent him off-- pap saying how proud he was that his son was now becoming a real man, ma sobbing because she couldn't just let her beautiful boy go, and his sister laughing all the time. Perhaps he's going to another lair? He didn't find his lady in this one, and maybe there would be somewhere else. A place where he could capture her eyes-- and her heart.

He's such an image-conscious and romantic fool. Not that he's a bad kid. Left him Unnamed since I couldn't think of anything. :)) I hope you like him, though.
Pumpkin doesn't like ice, she doesn't like the cold, she certainly didn't like the Southern Icefield where she was born. It didn't take very long after growing up before she hightailed it out of that frozen land and sought out something warmer. She likes the sun, she even likes the rain, but nothing's better in her mind than basking in the sunlight on a nice flat rock. Pumpkin also loves pumpkins. She'll go anywhere for a pumpkin, except back to the Icefields. Hard to find pumpkins there, anyway.
She's kind, patient, and it's rare to see Pumpkin without a smile. Make no mistake however, for Pumpkin is a brat. Ever the optimist, Pumpkin is friendly to anyone who will talk to her, unless they want her to do work, or they try to take her pumpkins without asking. It doesn't take very long to ask, and she's glad to share, if asked. Otherwise, she'll always remember them as a pumpkin thief and earning her trust again is a very, very hard task indeed.
She doesn't care for the Coliseum, as fighting is hard work. She doesn't care for gathering, it takes away from her sunbathing, and gathering is hard work. She doesn't like hard work, period. Pumpkin will help in little tasks, but anything more and she'll be glad to find someone else who can help. She might even bribe them with a couple of her pumpkins.

Fifth daughter in line to inherent the title of Duchess, Belle isn't going to be holding her breath. She is a proper lady, knows how to smile politely and walk with poise, wings tucked in, or fly with grace. She's a matronly soul, and loves to herd around hatchlings back to their nests, look after them when they're playing. She's not had little ones of her own, but she's not found the right boy yet.
Belle is not without her exciting and adventurous streak though, so don't let her take you by surprise, playing with babies so often, she loves to play in the mud. Her excuse is that it is good for her scales, but in truth, she just likes the feel of it squish between her claws.
She is quite the lady, always with a warm smile and is exceptional at coil snuggles.

Atney may appear fearsome and tough, but he really is one of the most kindhearted dragons in the lair. He loves everything and everyone, especially his family. He has a soft spot for the hatchlings, and wishes his spiky hide didn't make it hard to babysit them without accidentally hurting them. He does his best to make it work, however, by wearing lots of wooly apparel, and caring for the hatchlings in whatever way he can - protecting the nursery from any danger, making little toys and treats for the young ones, and telling them bedtime stories.
(ill send over a lil something with him too in a sec!)

Lemuria and Mu are interchangeable names given to a lost land believed to have been located somewhere in either the southern Pacific or Indian Oceans. This ancient continent was apparently the home of an advanced and highly spiritual culture, perhaps the mother race of all mankind, but it sank beneath the waves many thousands of years ago as the result of a geological cataclysm of some kind.
Mu has two goals in life. Number one? Showing the world that she's the baddest Windy on the face of the planet. Number two? Adding cool points to her bad girl persona by saving up for Smoke. Smoking, after all, is one of her favorite hobbies. She takes after her father in that aspect, favoring the dignity of his pipes, though she's known to dabble in hookah when she's socializing. Granted, she only wants to socialize with dragons as bad as she is, because if they can't keep up they can gladly kiss her tail goodbye.
Despite her youth, Mu has gone places. She's featured as a cover girl to Smoke and Mirrors a total of three times, despite receiving generous amounts of flak for her "dirty looking tertiary" (the haters, 2014). She has mixed popularity amongst the magazine's subscribers, as some take to her rough and tumble attitude quite well, while others find her uncensored way of speaking to be "uncouth and uncultured" (the haters, 2014). Mu shares her piece with the haters unabashedly; unfortunately, nothing that has left her mouth is suitable for quoting on this website. (It's safe to say that various implements were encouraged to explore specific regions of the haters. It's also safe to say that her low tones and rough slang sent some of her fans swooning.)
Mu's a headstrong woman who knows exactly what she wants, and she isn't afraid to let everyone around her know it. It's made her romantic life nonexistent, due to how intimidating she is, but Mu doesn't give two flicks of a whisker about that. The only dragons who are worth "makin' [her] want to rock and roll" are men who know how to "show her some belly," and women who like to "ball hard and fast, got it" (Mu, 2014). Her bisexuality has always been flaunted, usually with a sneer that has the dangerous curve of a dare. She's yet to encounter a soul brave enough to take on trying to woo her.
"An' if anyone tries to rip on my crew, they'd best be knowin' that I'll show 'em my scratches. Preach it" (Mu, 2014).
Take care of my wicked little girl!
