Honestly this is the longest breeding project I've done and my luck has been way below expected. I have 12 close-range pairs (each has around 8%~10% chance getting a Driftwood/Beige/Moon female so let's assume 8%) and assume the average number of eggs per nest are 2.6 (my all-time average), the probability of success in one 15-day cycle is 92.5%, and in two cycles it's 99.5%. About to send out my Nature and Lightning Pairs, hoping for some color luck! Lightning baby has been extremely elusive (I'll get two/three colors and the third just won't play along. Moon/Moon/Z or Moon/Y/Robin or X/Moon/Robin Every. Single. Time! I've been keeping the near-miss babies in case I find partners to get better results (no luck yet) but I might have to start getting rid of them x.x)

The Parents are: Cadwal and Tango for Lightning, Nicio and Nala for Nature.

(i used it on [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/1235464]him[/url]. not relevant.) at some point post-notn the first, i decided my dream dragon - my very first breeding project - would be for a sand/avocado/chocolate nocturne. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS? it means, because noc scrolls were so ungodly rare and expensive, that i would be forced to suffer through wc/coatl cooldowns. i spent MONTHS working towards a pair. back then it was like the wild west of colours you understand. (i'm exaggerating, but it was my first project and i [i]suffered[/i] mate, okay i suffered) i ended up with a noc/coatl pair. which is a big Yikes on the cooldowns just for starters. but i also wanted nature eyes and i was in shadow at the time. i spent MORE MONTHS breeding them together. their range? sand/avo was guaranteed, was a 50/50 toss up on choc or rust on the tert and 50/50 gender, so same situation you were in. oh my god how long did it take? so many. every kid with the choc tert was a boy, i was plagued by rust. MONTHS OF RUST! every nest: rust. oh that's a noc! BAM. RUST. to this day i cannot stand to look at rust. i shudder. in the end, i got a girl with a choc tert... she was a coatl. so then i had to as;ldfkja;sldkfjsd BUY a noc scroll anyway! they were cheaper after the 2015 notn, yes, but still. and now i'm drowning in noc scrolls!!! the injustice!! anyway here's kieri, i love her sm despite how i suffered [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/19872049][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/198721/19872049_350.png[/img][/url] i've done a bunch of breeding projects since then, but i learned my lesson about rare and limited breeds! don't do it!! EXCEPT SIKE NO I DIDNT in 2019 i got [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/53337469]vashka[/url] to represent one of my oldest characters (i play as her in basically every rpg game). she was a random lucky purchase, no breeding necessary praise earthshaker, imp wasn't necessarily the breed i needed for her but i liked it so much i just left it, works wonderfully with their cursed lore regardless. but... you know... vashka has a sidekick. if she's an imp then... then the sidekick needs to be an imp also, yes? only fair. [insert me lying on the floor in a puddle of my own tears and regrets] vashka and tarbh are specifically my idiots from dragon's dogma, where they more or less started life. and when the dragon's dogma 2 announcement was made in june 2022, i thought HEY I HAVE ONE I SHOULD GET THE OTHER. it took me... two YEARS to get tarbh. TWO YEARS. the colours were hard to find and half of them were related to everyone else in that range and i could ONLY use imps, coatl, wcs and i just. UGH. always the same thing, you know? wrong gender right colours. i could silhouette scroll these days but... NO! STAY STRONG! PERFECT OR BUST! getting the umber/umber sec/tert wasn't so hard by by golly why are there so few terracottas paired with it out there? once again i needed nature eyes, so that was a thing. (thank god for the cfce) idk i'm just so tired of breeding projects and i did a stupid one where i needed to get identical twins with consecutive ids! [s]that's another story[/s] at least they weren't IMPS! i'm so vehement that i'll never do another imp breeding project but at the same time i'm like... i could get tarbh's baby sister... i could do it...
