@awaicu: Time to register! :D
Name: Vitrum
Founder's Line: Ire | Alabaster's line
Generation Number: III
Lore: Victims who have been in possession of this glass figurine have heard her voice calling to them. Those that she has claimed, only shattered glass was left behind. The rest of her lore is still WIP BUT! She was pocketed by Father Mimir during the search for scattered ashes.
Name: Achemon
Founder's Line: Ankh | Scarab's line
Generation Number: III
Lore: A translucent moth that steals the breath of dreamers. Much like his father, Achemon quietly picks dreamers who are tormented in their dreams. His body of a hound would release moths to sneak into quiet homes. When a target is chosen a moth would land on their lips as they sleep, stealing their breath while the beast is outside. When the victim is consumed, the moth would return to fuse with the beast once again. When he wants to roam, he would form into a single moth to make scouting easier.
His lore is still WIP but he had been captured by Conway while scouting.
Name: Father Mimir
Founder's Line: Bitten by Scarab
Generation Number: N/A
Lore: Father Mimir is a powerful member of the Gemini Clan. While out helping in the search for Scattered Ashes, the group was attacked by Scarab, one of the original 8. Already too comfortable with so many other Barghests within his clan, Father Mimir found himself overconfident with fighting her, outright. While protecting his charge, Conway; Mimir found himself taking the brunt of Scarab's attack. Scratches and a bite. He knew what this meant and he prayed to keep control. So far, he is succeeding in keeping it together. He will not bring attention to his wounds until after the quest. He is fine for now but when he gets home, he knows that the other Barghests will sense his change.
I am basing him off of the Gurt Dog -
Gurt Dog ("Great Dog") of Somerset is an example of a benevolent dog. It is said that mothers would allow their children to play unsupervised on the Quantock Hills because they believed the Gurt Dog would protect them. It would also accompany lone travellers in the area, acting as a protector and guide.
Guardian Black Dogs refer to those relatively rare black dogs that are neither omens of death nor causes of it. Instead they guide lost travellers and protect them from danger. Stories of this type became more widespread starting around the early 1900s. In different versions of one popular tale a man was journeying along a lonely forest road at night when a large black dog appeared at his side and remained there until the man left the forest. On his return journey through the wood the dog reappeared and did the same as before. Years later two convicted prisoners told the chaplain that they would have robbed and murdered the wayfarer in the forest that night but were intimidated by the presence of the black dog.
