His back was to a great bonfire that sizzled and popped, setting alight embers that danced and weaved through his mane and coat before eventually drifting to the ground around him as he fidgeted in excitement. It had been so long since he had seen many of his children, he couldn’t wait to see them once more. And luckily, the Obelisk wouldn’t have to wait for much longer as the distant figures began to grow ever closer, their progress becoming more clear as the passed each of his mate’s cyan wisps (they acted as a sort of monster-repellant) before the flames eventually transitioned to the warm bright glow of the orange lanterns that marked the path to the Hearthstone Feast. As those once-distant figures crested the hill, Ishaan couldn’t help but to crack one of his joyful grins before he tackled the first of his children that he could find and crushed them into a massive bear hug. “Welcome back home! We’re so glad that you could make it for the feast!” Stepping back from the other Helian, Ishaan regarded the rest of the gathered dragons and gave a slight bow, giving them a warm smile. “Welcome to the Hearthstone Feast! We have plenty of food and drink behind our fire, please have your fill. Tomorrow we shall begin our sparring, but tonight we shall dine and become acquainted with one another once more. Perhaps even someone might have a story to tell around the fire?” He stopped himself from dismissing the group and glanced behind him, noticing the presence of his mate. As expected she seemed to be eyeing the visitors rather warily. “Would you like to add something, Cecily?” As if caught off guard, the grey-maned Obelisk snapped her head towards her mate before nodding. However, before she spoke she took a quick look around at her wisps to make sure that they were all in working order. In the distance she could hear the low growls of monsters prowling deep within the mountains. Finally she looked back towards the Helian’s new visitors and straightened. “Yes, in addition to your campfire tales, I would be interested in learning more about the clans who do not yet have one of our kin among them. What is your clan like? Are you also looking to vanquish the tainted creatures on your lands?” Ishaan chuckled as he watched her eye each of the visitors individually, as if she could tell if there was a monster amongst them just by staring at them. Surely that wasn’t the case. But really, he had known her long enough to know that she was just being nosy. Cecily just wanted to make sure that their hatchlings were left in good hands. The Obelisk gave his mate a small nod and turned to the crowd once more. “We would love to hear all of the stories that you have to tell, but perhaps we should have a bite to eat first?” ----- [font=corbel]Hello, hello! Welcome to the Helian lineage's first festival. The Hearthstone Feast welcomes the coming of fall and gives the Helian the opportunity to reconnect and rekindle their relationships with their kin. While this is a festival for the Helian, clans without one of their own are still welcome to participate! If you have any questions feel free to let me know! [font=corbel][b]Directions[/b] There are three options available for you to choose in order to participate in this year's Hearthstone Feast. There will be a total of [b]four points[/b] that you can receive by choosing the options below; however, feel free to continue showcasing your dragons/lore/art if you wish! I do love seeing people interested in the lineage! The number of points coincides with how many times your name will be entered into the giveaway and the winners will be chosen at the end of the festival through RNG. Winners will be given a choice for their prize (first place having first pick) and the option to pick a Helian hatchling that was hatched during the festival to go home with them. Any remaining hatchlings will be available for other participants to claim once the event is over! [b]Option One - Three Points:[/b] Do you like writing? Then perhaps this is the option for you! This year's prompts were given by Ishaan "What is your clan's favorite campfire story?" and Cecily "What is your clan like? Do any creatures go bump in the night?" Both Helian and non-Helian may reply to either prompt. Have fun with it! [b]Option Two - Three Points: [/b] Besides following the prompt, we also have the option of creating an art piece that relates to the Helian in some way. They end up recruiting him, and he fits right in with a jovial nature and a love for food and drink. Knowing his family was throwing a party probably is what drew him out of the icefields, he loves a good party.

How exciting! I have tomorrow off so I'll work on some art. The lore for this is lovely <3
