Dragon Share

I have finished a couple of project dragons that were simple projects, i.e., breeding (or buying) for colour and then applying gene scrolls. Some of these were Ezio, Smaug & Drogon. They can be viewed in the Infamous Tab of my HibDen. These were great as a start for entering into the world of Breeding Projects.

This has now lead me to the point of wanting to breed without purchasing gene's to attain my goal dragons. Cause there are several!

At this point it makes sense to me that each post is for one goal dragon.

Fairly common colours and genes. I bought the first few off the AH cheap; see the two pairs below. However, after working through the scrys, I have decided on wasp or metallic instead of basic. So back to the AH I go. [s]Darn it! I then realized that 2 of the 4 (1 male and 1 female) would no longer work since they didn't have genes of the specific rarity that I needed. Back to the auction house, where I purchased one male and 2 females. Now I just have to figure out which pairs will give me the results I need. May 31, 2020 I have cleared out enough nests that I can get back to my project. These are the pairs I put to nest today. Balthazar's parents: [img]https://i.imgur.com/2wfGmrE.jpg[/img] Hermia's parents: [img]https://i.imgur.com/QHqGwmY.jpg[/img] So as soon as Hermia grows up, I will put these two to nest in about two days. I will rent a Nature nest, probably several times to get the combo I am looking for. [img]https://i.imgur.com/7bycOPs.jpg[/img] Sep. 5, 2020 I have had a couple of hatchings now from Balthazar and Hermia. Have been really close both times, just one colour off on one and right genes and colours but wrong sex on the other. Since at this point it's just a waiting game, I am going to start my next project.

The seller went AWOL and I never received a reply to my inquiries. Therefore, this is a prime candidate for a breeding project. I found a female Wildclaw on the AH with the exact colours I wanted, and a male Coatl with very close colours. However, I bought them before reading Ganondorf's Breeding Guide. I now realize that if I want to keep these two as parents, I will have to go to the expense of geneing them up. I have become quite fond of the two of them, so this project is probably not going to be a full on breeding project.

So I was going to do my tree dragon, but that is going to be a long term project. Then IronPen put up a pic of a WC on discord that inspired me. Which brought about this gal. Breed - use any Primary (Common) - not Basic Secondary (Common) - not Basic Tertiary (Common) - not Basic Woo Hoo - this looks like a winner for breeding.

So here it goes. Breed - use Wildclaws & Coatls Primary - not Basic, Clown, Fade, Falcon, Laced, Leopard, Piebald, Savannah, Speckle, Swirl, Tapir, Tiger Secondary - not Basic Tertiary - not Contour, Crackle, Ghost, Lace, Opaki, Peacock, Ringlets, Smoke, Thylacine, Underbelly After plugging these parameters into the AH, I have very little to choose from. I am thinking about using a dragon with a more common gene for the tertiary, cause I can brew a capsule gene, which is the same rarity as the scales.
