The Children had proved to be more adept, or at some times, surprising as some elements, despite its opposition to a Witchborne's abilities, gave up exciting results from the harmony made from conflict. Ustrina and Imber witches, of the elements, fire and water, were the most common of them, as most Witchborne would prefer to unite under in respect to the traditions their ancestors have lain for them. Otherwise, the newer, harsher elements, such as Remordeo, Obscurus, Lychnus and Magus, made for stronger Children who aimed to harness more anarchic energies, one such as Chaos. Solum, Spiritus and Alitura were attuned to the physical world next to Ustrina and Imber, which made them valuable in handling apothecaries or the healing arts. Tonitrus and Nivalis made for hardy Children as these elements are a metamorphosis of pure energy made from elements combined. Chauchemar let a low growl escape her throat. There was only one creature that could do something like this. . . a vampire. --------- Chauchemar was one of them, but it was a fate she had fought all her life. From the moment she was born, the scent of blood enticed her, but she always resisted. She would not allow herself to take the lifeblood of another creature for her own sustenance - a denial that left her body revolting and hungry each time the temptation arose.
