murk is definitely a hard one! all the color-changing genes seem so... off, and those are my go-to. i do really like the feral swamp creature vibe, though :-)

thistle is a hard one for me - i like both neutrals and pastels, but it kind of combines the two in a way i'm not a fan of.

ok...this was hard. (since Thistle is exactly as you describe, a strange mix of pastel and neutral). I absolutely LOVE thistle so I was trying to put myself in a place where I don't like it and then go from there...but...
Here is the 'pastel' ish take on the gene. (I know Facet is controversial but those colors are so bright and pretty!)

my least favorite color is Seafoam.

Honestly have never been a big fan of most orange-y range colors (save for a select few). Especially ones like terracotta, tangerine, or peach (feel free to pick any of those three)

I actually really enjoy overcast!
It can be a little wonky at times but it has lots of potential.
I'm not a huge fan of vermillion
It's so saturated already and then the accent colors certain genes give it are just... it's really not my taste
I like to believe any color can be gorgeous with the right genes and on the right dragon, so good luck!

@sakuramochi I could not resist Vermillion because to me it's a great secondary or tertiary colour, especially with Peacock. However, I completely understand that it might just not work for you, same as Overcast doesn't work for me hehe

@TehuMertt - Ugh I love cornflower! I love how bee looks with glimmer! And I love the darker hues python brings in. Also, poison/toxin makes the dragon look a little more pastel if that's your thing!

I don't love maize to say the least. I think it's just a dirty and dingy white.. Please help me love it :)
