I was lucky to get two beautiful nocturnes with matching eyes and wings. But their names? Rather unoriginal, I guess. I just chose what came to my mind first - Gabriel and Amber. Amber's goldenrod primary made me think of, well ... amber, so she got that name and Gabriel ... when I saw him I had to think about my breloom in OR, which is called Gabriel and this just sort of ... happened.

I named my first nocturne Sofia, as it means wisdom in Greek, and Sofia sort of seemed to fit the purples and browns :)

Have no fear friendI too am a closet weaboo. Those are really fitting names!
@corbie
That's really smart! The day after this event closes, of course, I expect prices to skyrocket to ridiculous heights, but the day before prices should be super low and people should be able to buy three or four a pop! Musicians is an interesting name choice.
@Xela
That's a very fitting name as well, he looks exactly like a Sakura tree! That's so cool you could get his genes like that. :)
@chalcopyrite
Let's be honest though, those names are super fitting as well. :) I was so angry and relieved when I finally got a Nocturne I just about named it Howdare
@applejuice
That is really lucky, and all that matters is that they have names! Besides, Amber is the go to for Amber dragons, which makes it a classic, so you aren't unoriginal, you are a lover of classics. ;)
@DTEvie
Aw, her name matches her cuteness level! Congrats.

I named this girl Shiver because she looks like the night sky, and night time is usually cool, or at least cooler than the daytime.

This guy is Scald because he looks like a water dragon, but he is a fire dragon. It reminded me of the water type pokemon move, scald, that can cause burns and it will thaw a frozen pokemon.

Nightjar is named after a family of birds, the nightjars (as well as the owlet nightjars which are a distinct species unrelated to owls but share the name because the English language is confusing like that) I thought it was appropriate given that nightjars are also a nocturnal bird that relies on mimicry to survive. They're nocturnal insect hunters, and rely on the camouflage to keep them safe during the day. They're also unique in that some species practice a type of hibernation, or torpor, throughout the winter months. Her colours only cemented it for me, so that's what I went with. Clown-Seraph probably would have been more apropriate, but I liked the irishim too much on her, so she did stray a little ways away from her namesake there.

Clement here was scatterscrolled twice before I named him. He went from rust/sky to grey/leaf to this, jungle/tangerine/sand, normally I hate tangerine because its a cool toned orange that is really hard to mach with most of the other colours and almost all of the apparell, but he actually kinda pulls it off once I had the chance to cool down a bit. It's actually pretty fitting, he was hatched on christmas day, and apparently tangerines and other citrus are a traditional stocking stuffer in the northern hemisphere, and the jungle/tangerine kinda makes him look like a ripening fruit! So I named him clement, the masculine version of Clementine, which is a variety of tangerine. Kinda wish I named him Clementine in retrospect, gender restrictions be damned, but it still fits.
mid 16th century: from Latin, said to be from Greek anemÅnÄ“ 'windflower', literally 'daughter of the wind', from anemos 'wind', thought to be so named because the flowers open only when the wind blows.
From Oxford Dictionaries. Thought it was fitting for her, whatnot with her colour range. Also because I like flowers a lot.

Nurya is a variant of Nura, who in turn is a name both derived from "Nur" and the word "nehiyr". It means "illumination, wisdom (of God)", not too fitting but w/e.
