Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I've seen people talking about lineart and detail as well as colours so I'll pop this here as well.
When the lace tertiary gene was released it warmed my little pastel goth heart but the inconsistency between breeds really bugs me and I just can't seem to get past wildclaw wings. I've noticed over time that some breeds have already been reviewed, but the gene remains inconsistent and I was wondering if an edit was still in the works for wildclaws?
For most breeds now, the gene nicely follows the shape of the wings. Even though the distance from the gene detail to the edges of the wings varies, it still follows the shape of the dragon:
As you can see, there are still inconsistencies from breed to breed - the lacy lineart touches the edges for some of them, but others have a large gap with a stained section.
However, my main issue is with dragons where the lace doesn't even follow the shape of the wings. I feel like it really ruins the gene for those breeds, but especially wildclaws (I guess because I have a lot of wcs, but other breeds suffer a bit as well):
There's just a complete lack of the delicate definition that can be found in the gene on other breeds. Spirals also suffer from it a bit, in areas looking simply like there's been a straight line drawn in lace instead of following the shape of the dragon on the wings:
Imps, skydancers, snappers, and female tundras also have a bigger 'stained' gap compared to other breeds and it feels less delicate once again, but I feel like wildclaws and spirals are the worst contenders here. I was wondering if there were any plans to homogenise this gene across all breeds?
If you recognise me from Danny Phantom fanfiction then I'm so sorry
