Welcome to Swamp Witch & Friends!

This is a hatchery mostly comprised of skydancers with an occasional sprinkle of rarer/ancient breeds.

I breed for fun and mostly focus on butterfly gene. All dragons are bred on Earth nests and will have a variety of brown eyes.
Pretty!

All dragons are listed on the Auction House and sold on first come first serve basis. I can hold a dragon for 24h (let me know if you need more time than that and we'll figure something out).

All new hatchlings will be on sale until they grow up (+/- a few more days), after which they will usually be trained and exalted.

Let me know if you want to buy them using another/mixed form of currency — my gem to treasure ratio is 1:1000.

This one is used when everything goes right and I hatch a dragon with the right set of genes and matchy color combos, as promised on the pair graphics.
Oddities are born of sheer luck and may come in variety of shapes and sizes.

These are outtakes from hatchery pairs that are born with the wrong gene sets; or various lucky hatches from my other project pairs whose breeding results are... a bit of a gamble.

If you like being the first to know when I add a pair (or something?) to this hatchery, and also enjoy occasional pictures of nature and ramblings of someone else's life, feel free to subscribe!

----- ----- TL;DR regarding pinglists: Non-butterfly pinglist has been disbanded, and butterfly pinglist will soon follow suit. If you are a part of the butterfly pinglist and would like to continue getting pings from this hatchery, please add yourself to the lists below that match your preference. I will tag the butterfly pinglist one more time in the future to make sure everybody is aware of the news, and will delete it afterwards. So, yeah, the pinglists are getting cut. As yall may have noticed, I barely had non-butterfly pairs to begin with, and with the amount of ongoing projects I didn't have enough time to breed them anyway. Currently I have only 3 semi-active non-butterfly pairs. And 33 butterfly ones. (Not including projects which are also 90% butterfly-focused). So there's no point in keeping a pinglist I don't use, and there's also no need for a butterfly-specific pinglist if more that 90% of the hatchery is butterfly anyway. Thus going forward my (hatchling sales related) pinglists shall only come in 2 flavors — cool hatchlings and cool hatchlings (surprise flavored). Half of all my active pairs graphics will now live in the previously non-butterfly pair post to make it easier (for me) to scroll through them to add/change something. Going forward, these are gonna be the active pinglists: [columns][pinglist=2136][nextcol]Main pinglist for the pretty children of my main sequence pairs. Thus my pairs are subject to change if I manage to find a better suited mate. Today the spotted lady's thumb pair has been updated! They will now have a 100% bubblegum colored tertiary available in glimmer and filigree variety: [columns][item=Rosy Gypsum][nextcol]Persicaria Maculosa (commonly known as spotted lady's thumb) is an annual plant widespread across Eurasia (and invasive in North America). These slugs can grow up to 14cm in length and turn into a variety of gorgeous iridescent shades of blue upon reaching adulthood in late spring. (They are also my personal favorite gastropods!) [/columns] This pair also comes with a hatchling already on sale on the Auction House ...And, of course, a picture of the slug that gave it the name, because even though this post is already atrociously long and filled with all sorts of stuff, I can't possibly ignore the chance to gush about my favorite gastropod ever — the Carpathian blue slug. So, yeah, here's a pic of one of them I took past spring. The mountains are 17 hours away by train from where I live, but these little guys are worth every goddamn hour. They really are huge and their adult form is nigh impossible to miss on the forest floor if you visit during the right time of year (they usually reach adulthood in May). And oh my god, they're so blue! I knew about their existence, but it's one thing to look at the photos and completely different one to look at them with your own eyes and find out that yeah, they indeed are as blue as in the pics. Of course, the exact colors may vary from individual to individual. Some of the slugs we've seen had such a deep color they almost appeared black. Others were a vibrant sapphire color. Some others yet had a very cool iridescent quality to their skin with almost pink translucent undertones... No slug was the same, and yet all of them were drop dead gorgeous. Fantastic creatures. I really hope I will be able to meet them again. So, uh. Yeah. That's about it for today. If you read this far — thank you! If not, thank you anyway for supporting this hatchery in a way you're comfortable with. Either way, I shall be back with more of, well, everything, so stay tuned! TL;DR regarding pinglists:
Non-butterfly pinglist has been disbanded, and butterfly pinglist will soon follow suit.

Going forward, these are gonna be the active pinglists:
Main pinglist for the pretty children of my main sequence pairs.
