Hiding away in seaside caverns, hesitant to touch his feet down to the sand. Seeing his twin and their parents swimming in the ocean only made him more afraid to give it a try, as the waves crashed heavily on the shore and engulfed the laughing dragons. One day, he found himself climbing a tree to escape his responsibilities. Morganne and Spell wanted him to see them help travellers in the middle of the night, his brother bounding off excitedly for the chance, but not him. Instead, he clung to the branches of a gigantic oak and found comfort in the leaves. It wasn't until Morganne brought him a beautiful blue flower that he realised his calling was not for the sea, but nurturing the land instead. Soon he was pulled out of his shell. Always interested in learning more, he read books on plantlife and sought to grow his own, starting with vegetables. He found excitement in the sprouting of carrots and berries, but not nearly as much as when a flower would first open its petals to him, showing off its colours. He used the water not to swim through, but to nourish life, and sell the plants to dragons he met during his travels, encouraging them to take good care of them. You wouldn't have noticed it if not for the faint glimmer of treasures within, enticing you deeper to investigate. As you take your first steps inside, your gaze is cloaked in a piercing darkness that makes it difficult to see your own hands in front of you. But once your eyes adjust to the shadows, multiple winding tunnels that make up this intriguing cavern. You hear the distant squeaking of bats and the batting of their wings, a scampering of footfalls on the stone floor. The longer you wander through these caverns, the less you know where you are, but it matters not, for the beauty of this cave takes your breath away. Where the stone was bare before, now it is littered with magical, glinting crystals of various colours, thrumming with energy and power. Their sparkle leads you to a small oasis, a pool of emerald water deep underground, surrounded by glowing mushrooms and more of these strange crystals. Desperate to seek light outside of their home, they ventured on a pilgrimage towards the land of pure nature, to embrace a lifetime filled with wildlife, sunshine and blessings. Though their travels were long and tiring, often nearing starvation and enthralling enemies along the way, one day they set their feet upon the land of the Gladekeeper. Upon reaching this destination, the two leaders of the Veilspun declared themselves by new names - Hawthorn and Aspen, paying respect to nature by taking the names of tree species. These dragons were looked upon with confusion and judgement for some time as they sought out a permanent home in the Viridian Labyrinth. One day, they stumbled across the Worldedge Wetlands - paying witness to the scattered mangroves, seagrass and flowing waters. Nestled out of the way, they came to befriend their neighbouring clans, proving they were not a threat, but instead came for a better life. Welcomed into the land of nature, their story became engrained into their legacy. To represent the blood shed along the way, they were blessed with children of varying reds and pinks, who would carry their tale in their very scales for all of eternity. However, not all sirens are bad. No - Morganne, known at times as a siren but other times as a guide, floats effortlessly through the seas, feeling the currents and navigating them with ease. Many years of communing with the spirits, especially the young Anemone, has allowed her to find a powerful grasp over the weather of the seas. Travellers may see her in their oversea ventures, her serpentine dance of silks drawing their eye. So long as travellers care for her flowers and are not cruel, she will assist them to their destinations. Spell, a powerful mage able to harness both the bright energies of arcane and the trickster shadow, met Morganne during his journey between the territories. His magic, more volatile and drawing from his own body, attempted to control the choppy seas and the rising waves, but his foolish maneuvers only weakened him. When an especially high wave crashed over him, he could not protect himself or push the wave off him, so he was carried off of his vessel and under the water, fighting hopelessly to surface. Spell truly believed he would die that day, watching the light get dimmer and dimmer, until suddenly, he was blinded by sunlight and the glint of silks in the rays. Morganne raised him from the water, shielded by her wings, and laid him down ashore to cough up water from his lungs. She nursed him back to health despite his stubborn remarks, and it was that day he fell in love with her. Every day he would bring her flowers, and in return, she would teach him to more safely navigate the seas. He would show her his playful tricks and the power he could harness, and she would watch with interest. Much time passed as their love grew, and now they watch over the seas together, helping travellers. You might find them up on great hilltops, in trees, or on a platform they can use as a stage - singing, dancing, telling jokes and crafting. These artists make use of a variety of forums, from making jewellery, brewing colourful potions, playing music, embroidering or smelting armour. Whatever way they find their joy, they travel across Sornieth to sell their goods, teach others their crafts, and have fun. Bowie, a musician, finds herself travelling between territories to serenade the masses. Navy on the other hand, creates custom pieces using a combination of plantlife and manmade materials, decorations to hang in homes or attach to armour. Some pieces, he gives Bowie to wear when she performs, and she often sings nearby his stall to bring in customers. Together they make the perfect team, and they sure have plenty to teach their young. Most of all, they will teach their offspring to make the most of life - to enjoy it, have fun, make memories. When these two aren't business focused, they are dancing in crowds of people or going on silly adventures to pass the time, living in the present with no worries ahead. They adorn themselves with shiny stones, joined to their scales, in appreciation for the beautiful things in life.
