I don't mind it at all!
It's about 6 to one month of work ahaha. Plus the gems required to boon and change flight. It also requires a LOT of good timing. Since I'm in the special ID community as well, too, I have a relative gauge on when most nests are hatched and when there's a lull.
So the key was to hatch around then.
You need to at the very minimum have your dragons' cooldown be up (in my case, 35 days because Corazon is a wildclaw), but also have your cooldown for changing flight be up.
So basically: I nested Polvo and Cora and left them on the nest with their nest ready-to-hatch for at least a month when I was visiting plague (I can't remember exactly how long), and waited until my cooldown for changing back to ice was up.
From there, it was just rapid-fire clicking (having multiple screens makes this so much easier). Hatch nest > Set nest (you can actually set dragons to nest again after their cooldown is up even if they're already on a nest, though it'll of course give you an error if they're already on a nest) > Boon nest > Hatch nest
If you're lucky, you get consecutive IDs.
But it's always risky of course and if you fail, you need to try again in 6 months
I thankfully managed to get it because I've also had practice with re-nesting dragons and booning nests, especially with Polvo since he's given me weggs. I wanted to get the person wanting to nest with him more than just one egg and thus a very strange ability was born x'D

I knew there was some sort of trickery but couldn't figure it out in my head haha, thank you for explaining!
That's a really neat skill, if I ever do lore nesting in the future I may have to try it myself at some point. But at the moment I really only nest for funsies and to fodder train the dragons oop

Their first kiddo sold for 5.5kg via auction, so for now I'm putting them up at 3kg! I'll likely charge 4-5kg+ only for fancy eye colors.
