Unfortunately for the scientist, he survived and turned into a monster like creature with fire and wings adapted for surviving such a harsh climate. So maybe an intense expression would suit him. He is battle worn from years of survival.

@WoodenToucans thank you so much!!! if its alright to ask though, it looks like the gradient around the halo is a bit funky there, when viewed against a white background such as the bio. would you be able to fix it somehow, or perhaps redraw the halo? if not thats alright!
