The whole thing is set in a AU where everyone was human but due to an apocalypse everyone mutated into the things they are now. Arthur wonders around the broken reality dreamland like place with a couple of others that, well he wouldn't count as friends exactly more like people who just started following him around one day. Arthur is quite clever however his pull towards crimes leads him running from what ever cops are left.
