Ive been trying to make a point to browse the forums if i can and look at what i could potentially buy in the future LOL idk what im doing tho and its hard to discern one shop from another OTL its actually not as organized as gaia is rn

but i think its great that you're starting to paint!! it takes a while to get the experience to make it look nice but i think painting is fun uwu

Oh mostly it goes like
Creative corner [for anything user made] -> writing/critique/minishops sections
minishops breaks down even further into -> art shops/art freebies/adoptables
the art community on gaia is pretty big so there's a lot more categories and sub categories than some other sections i think
but im not super sure haha

i mostly used to hang out in art shops/art freebs but im not sure i liked the attitude on freebs so i kind of left

like well compared to my initial FR experience the people on FR have been much nicer to me but i cna't tell if that's bc they think it boosts their chance of getting art???

a lot of the good artists have already left but sometimes you can catch them opening shops
like uh
i think gawki/poplerpig/feverworm sometimes pops up
ive caught skoptsy on there
i bought art from sakimichan via gaia too
