Very interesting update! I've been fortunate in that I've yet to be saddled with any dragons I can't get rid of and that look legitimately bad (I got extremely lucky with my random prog, haha), but there are one or two—the one offspring I kept from my progens' very first clutch, for example—that could probably do with some freshening up. Not a huge fan of aqua mirrors, so I may have to grab a few of the scatterscrolls and see if I can't make her a little less... neon. XD

And yeah, I don't see how scatterscrolls obsolete unhatched eggs at all. Don't think of it as people "trying to get a random dragon"—think of it as "oh no I already own a random dragon and I die a little inside whenever I look at that spring/magenta combo, please Dragon Jesus give me any colors but those". Or something slightly less melodramatic, haha. Most people don't want a completely random dragon so they're hardly going to use it on their prize triple-obsidian imperial or anything, but if they feel they can't do any worse than an ugly combo they already have, or else if they just feel like experimenting with a dragon that's not hideous but they're not in love with, what's the harm?

I doubt there'll ever be a scatterscroll for single colors, though. It seems like it'd be turned down for much the same reason you can't choose the colors of your second prog—you're not meant to have that level of control over any dragon other than your first, keep the fun of breeding for the perfect color combo, etc.. Granted you may well have to buy a lot of single-color scrolls to actually achieve what you want so it wouldn't be as easy as the progen; I also imagine they might be expensive treasure items rather than gem items because it's one thing to pay real money for a crapshoot and another to pay real money for better control over which colors you get. But then, it is specifically called the "tri-color" scatterscroll, so I guess there's room for other variants down the line... who knows!

The cobras are also very cool! Far as I can tell only one person has reported finding one of the food cobras so far, but hopefully soon we'll know where to look for all of them and get our hands on one of those fab snakeys.

Also, and this is nothing to do with this update but it wasn't mentioned elsewhere so this is a good as place as any, thank you devs for not having the 500-error pages redirect to their own urls anymore. It makes refreshing and getting straight back to what you were doing much less tedious. Little thing, but a very lovely little thing! Now if only we could get those more descriptive page titles so we can tell tabs apart, hahaha.

...I had more to say about this update than I thought, whoops. Oh well! Back to trying to save up for them upcoming skydancers! Yay admins!

Oh man, I love the scattershot -- I DO wish however we could buy a a single target one. It'd be awesome to use a "Tertiary Gene: scattershot" and try to randomize my dragons tertiary genes and ONLY the tertiary until they are perfect.
