Determined to prevent his children from being raised into monsters by their mother, Sion stole the next eggs he found of his and Leontia’s. For their entire incubation, he carried them close to himself, heading for the edges of the shattered plains to avoid being found by Leontia, he couldn’t risk these still innocent hatchlings to fall to her influence. In his travels, he found someone he never expected to meet: His son Autumnal, one of the two pups Leontia had raised from their last clutch. While initially cautious, never having met his son before and therefore not knowing what kind of person he had become, Sion grew to be thankful for this chance to reconnect, learning with great pride that Autty had grown up to be a protector of dragonkind rather than their hunter. This chance meeting allowed him the chance not only to be the father he should’ve been to Autumnal from the beginning, but the chance to let Autumnal’s new siblings meet and learn from their older brother. Raised not only by their father, but with assistance from their older brother Autumnal as well, The newly hatched trio of barghests were raised to have respect for dragonkind, to use their powers to put something good in the world instead of fear and despair.
