This wasn't our deal, Gemini! A Wildclaw sits atop a fence, her long claws digging into the soft wood as deft hands twist a knife and carve into a small piece of driftwood. Her hands are calloused and safe from splinters, though it feels like some part of her is splintering internally as she examines the three small figurines she's created. Her eyes linger on the figurines; a fox, a dog, and a wolf. Tucked neatly into her bags are three eggs, exuding an unnatural warmth. When nighttime falls on the full February moon, the Wildclaw draws the eggs from her bags and sets one figurine atop each egg. She prays to every god she can remember, and a few with names she can't recall, and spends the night on paranoid vigil as she watches the eggs. They do not hatch, but the inlaid amber eyes of the figurines seem to glow with unnatural light. "I'm sorry, my children..." The figurines are sold as soon as the Wildclaw reaches another town. The eggs do not hatch, and yet, the spirits within them still live; feeding on the unsuspecting dragons who obtain their vessels. Leontia, the Wolf Figurine.
