Chalcedony

Chalcedony is a nurturing stone that promotes brotherhood and good will. It absorbs negative energy and brings the mind, body, emotions and spirit into harmony. Chalcedony instills feelings of benevolence and generosity and alleviates hostility and transforms melancholy into joy.



Like his namesake, Chalcedony is a positive influence on all the members of Clan Tenalach. His ever genial nature and willingness to take a moment and listen to the concerns and stories of all his lair mates, to offer his opinions or advice, if requested, endears him to all. When the time came for the clan to promote a new leader, Chal was unanimously voted to the position.




Chalcedony is a nature dragon through and through, devoted from an early age to the druidic ways of his homeland. He has spent the whole of his life in the Labyrinth, and has an uncanny affinity to its verdant ways. Some say he has been blessed by the Gladekeeper herself, as from one day to the next, Chal's coloring changed dramatically and he began to take on the appearance of the trees around him. The fauna approach him fearlessly and he is ever gentle with the flora.

These days, he is almost never seen without a troupe of butterflies flitting about him, whispering Viridian secrets in his ears. What some take as even further proof of his blessing, the flower crowns and other decorations gifted him by the clan's hatchlings every Greenskeeper Gathering seem to stay ever in bloom, as if by some nature magic that no one can explain.

A true gentle giant, when Chalcedony is not helping resolve disputes or offering guidance, he can most often be found meditating in the large flower field near the lair or covered in the clans children, who enjoy clambering all about his sturdy and engaging presence.
