Team Coral cheered as Ninotchka used her Confusing Dance scroll, and all the dragons were essentially forced to dance along with the boat itself as it tossed and turned, even on the relatively calm waves. Team Coral gained 5 spaces, and Team Emerald lost 5 spaces.

Team Emerald, interestingly enough, also elected to use their Confusing Dance scroll, and their Skydancer, Marigold, let the spell unfurl. However, it affected Team Coral! The boats danced around each other as the dragons in both boats held on for dear life, and the two teams ended up where they’d started. Team Emerald gained 5 spaces, and Team Coral lost 5 spaces.

Team Coral’s Opal used Mighty Flight, the Imperial’s scroll growing wings and hoisting them aloft above the vendors, gaining them 3 spaces and catching them up even with Team Amber as they emerged from the floating market below in a cloud of fluttering chickens.

Team Feather, ahead of the pack feel they have a target painted on their backs and use Protect just in case. Just as well, because…

Team Coral uses Spiral’s Knotted Up! No matter what knots Sleekit ties herself into and what arcane incantations she enchants them with it is to no avail, all her attempts come to naught - Team Feather is Protected.

Team Coral uses Imperial’s Mighty Flight, to soar above the rubble and ruin below. After all, Opal thinks, there could be anything dwelling in those ruins and its much better to see spooky from far above than in the grips of whatever it uses to feed itself! The close calls and hairy rides of the teams below are not lost on the crew as they relax for a change and enjoy the view from business class, gaining 7 spaces and an air of superiority as they zoom from last place into equal second without even breaking a sweat.

Team Coral uses Gaoler’s Icy Wind, gains 3 spaces. The quiet Carico steps up for the first time to perform for their team, and as they read from their scroll, a blast of icy wind launches from each trailing boat, sending each boat back slightly with its recoil effect. Carico’s craft enjoys the bounty of the combined gusts and gains some boat-lengths. Teams Bells, Diadem, and Emerald each lose 1 space.
