Biography

“The shapeless, colossal god is a feature in certain obscure legends... It is supposed to have come from outer space, and to have lived in the Arctic three million years ago. It treated its sacrifices rather peculiarly and horribly, as you shall see."
-The Horror in the Museum

RHAN-TEGOTH

Rhan-Tegoth is one of the Great Old Ones that found themselves trapped on Sornieth, and one of the last to go into hibernation. It is a spawn of Shub-Niggurath ("The Goat with a Thousand Young") and was entrusted with waking Cthluhu in his sunken city.

Rhan-Tegoth is roughly spherical body, coated by tiny tentacles that end in snake-like mouths. It also has six longer appendages with pincers. Its globular head is characterized by three small eyes, a moth-like proboscis, and a pair of gills. While its size (roughly 15 feet tall) may not seem intimidating, Rhan-Tegoth has an acidic venom powerful enough to incapacitate any dragon. It uses its many tentacles to crush its victims and drain them of any fluids.

Since Rhan-Tegoth is immortal, it cannot be killed. However, its amphibious nature leaves it is vulnerable to ranged attacks. Strong opposition will convince the deity to return to slumber.
