Have you ever been so tired that you slept through the hatching and naming of five of your offspring? No? Well Balantis has. His ability to take long random naps at inconvenient times is rather notorious amoung his past clan mates and gotten him kicked out of more clans that one. "He can't hunt or stand lookout or hatchling sit. What is the point of keeping him around?" So Balantis left. He moved from lair to lair looking for .... something... he wasn't quite sure what. It was probably just a soft warm safe place for a nap.

Ending in the Scarred Wastelands was by chance. As much as anything in Balantis' life was chance. He fell asleep while travelling with a less than savory band of nomads and found himself waking up in cage. Rolling his eyes at the idiots who thought they could take advantage of a sleeping traveler. He picked the lock and climbed out. Deciding to liberate a few of the more valuable objects from them for his trouble Balantis flew off.

Balantis didn't fly far still a little groggy from his interrupted nap. He ducked into a crevice near the Wyrmwound intent on catching up on his sleep. When he woke up again he was snuggled into a mountain of blankets and pillows. Bolting upright he scanned around him trying to spot who had left them. His abrupt movement caused the nearby skydancer to squawk and back away.

"Sorry for waking you but sleeping on the floor always seemed so uncomfortable. Are you sure you don't want to move inside and sleep on a bed?" And just like that Balantis found home.
