Rise is a bit of an oddity within the his lair. Which seems like a weird thing to say in a lair filled with dragons with strange quirks. But in a lair of such loud personalities the quite ones sort of stand out. Rise is calm and serene in the face of chaos and adversity. It is one of the reason Theron put him in charge of the clan's defenses and the training of the dragons that chose to serve a diety.

Rise has trained countless dragons, mentoring them as they got ready to begin their service to their chosen diety. Even his own offspring and his mate all leaving to follow the call, leaving Rise alone. But every once in a while a dragon will come along that needs a bit more help, a little more push to get them on the right path. Some of these dragons go on to other lairs to become trainers of their own, some leave to become generals for their gods. Rise remembers all of them and is proud of what of they have become.

Sometimes he doubts though. He has never felt that same call to serve a diety as so many that he's known. His hatching was a difficult one, with his egg being moved from one nest to another and his parents absent. Maybe he had been abandoned by more than just them. In moments of doubts he seeks out his other lair mates. The ones who have lingered in the lair seemingly with no plans to leave.
