Born from descendants and creations of Gods, Quincy’s blood fights a war of its own. Stardust glows throughout the deep red of his ichor, far more diluted than that of his starborn ancestor Ryuusei but visible when it leaks from an open wound. The Stardust of the sister and the blood of the Wardancer flow in harmony, united by his identity as a magicless Valkyr and Defender. They have made Quincy strong, threatening, and powerful in close-combat. They have given him a fierce need to protect.
Against the current flows the blood of an even further ancestor, the imperial chosen by the Other, Polvoron. The magic of the Other-born flows through him, against the current of the magicless. Though it is outdone in strength, its power shows through regardless, even if in the smallest of ways. Shadows dance and shroud locations that should be lit by the sun under his concentration. This power is exhausting and only useful for shrouding dragons in shadow, so Quincy does not use it often.
All of this powerful blood flowing through his veins, and yet Quincy still feels… Small. Perhaps not in spite of this power, but because of it. How could he ever live up to so many expectations, how could he ever contribute to the missions of all his ancestors, and make them all proud? All who know of his history, his bloodline, do they expect greatness? Do they expect more of him than he can provide? Will he ever be able to live up to the name his ancestors have created for his bloodline?
It was until he came to the Firestorm Refuge he had these questions, for he could not discover the answer on his own. It was his friends, the community they were a part of, that taught him that he is not defined by his blood or his power, but instead by what he does with or in spite of it. Floe particularly helped to teach him this lesson. The fact that she is even alive is enough. In spite of the viscous plague that flows through her veins, that still threatens to kill her family and her offspring. She is not fueled by revenge or hate for the deity that cursed her and her family, but inspired by the generations who came before her. Innovative. Inspired. Intelligent.
Where Floe taught him to overcome and embrace the limitations, advantages, and disadvantages of his blood, Sepsis taught him perseverance. Sepsis taught him that no matter what his family or his ancestors desire of him, he is his own. Whether they want war, or love, or peace, it is his choice to decide where his life and his wings and his heart will take him. Perhaps he will not spread the word of the Starborn, or foresee war and conflict, or heal and create. He does know, however, that he can defend, and he can protect, and he can love. Perhaps that is all that matters, perhaps it is all his ancestors would want of him.

Quincy is next. The combo of the blacked bone pieces and the bloodsong silks is actually really nice against a paler primary. I've actually never noticed how pink cream starmap is, but it's really clear here! He's also quite the long dragon, I haven't seen a 31 m imperial for a while.
