I am a Plaguebaned! These dragons are descended from Aseptic and Phae, two Plague-born Fathoms who renounced their deity and were given a generational curse as a result. A blessing from the Flamecaller saved them and all their Fire-born descendants from rotting from within, but those of other elements must find a way to receive a blessing to save themselves. To learn more, click the symbol to the left! Those Plaguebaned descended from Karat's line tend to be intelligent, but also tend to walk in the grey areas of morality and legality. Many of them choose not to reject the sickness in their blood, but embrace it as a gift of weapon and armor all in one... and also embrace the Dishonorables who choose to do the same. After all, the cold doesn't burn away the plague like fire would. It's just... dormant. Preserved. Waiting.

Floe left her pod to visit her great grandparents in the Ashfall Wastes, to learn more about her family and her bloodline. When she arrived, many in the lair were planning a journey to the Scarred Wastelands. A journey she wanted one day to make, but was not so inclined to do so alone. She asked to joined, and was allowed to accompany them on their mission. In the clan she met the dragoness Sepsis, and during their mission the Skydancer almost fell to the plague much as her great grandparents before her had. The research she had in prep for the journey done came in handy, though. After injecting her with a mixture of her own blood/DNA, bile from the pools of the Wasteland, and a combination of chemicals her body evolved with the disease, rather than attempting to kill it.
Will be bred with Quincy. Lore-wise, after the eggs are laid they'll be injected with Sepsis' DNA to create a new branch of the Plaguebaned's lineage. They're poly now.

"Well yes and no. I traveled with my pod for my early life and we went plenty of places but we didn't ever spend a lot of time in the Scarred Wastelands. I spent some time studying animals and trying to meet all of my family to track traits of our lineage and our disease, but I definitely wasn't... as prepared as the Refuge and the exploring party may have thought I was? Look, I'd done my research and all but... I had no idea what I was doing to Sepsis. I'm really lucky it helped her."
"Don't tell anyone, okay? You're lucky I even told you. Not even sure why I did, honestly..."
