Background:

"What brings you around here, stranger?" The captain asked, with a playful tone in his voice.

"Passing through," the Guardian said while curling his tail around the Tundra.

Dainard gave a hearty laugh. "It's very nice to see you again. It has been some time."

"What have you been up to, partner?"

"Traveling a bit. I found a new crew to call my own. They're a good crew for sure. Though, nothing beats the times we used to have." The captain reminisced.

"Isn't that always the case? What I wouldn't give to go back to then."

The Tundra leaned into the Guardian's embrace. They were both silent for a tender moment, before the captain spoke up again. "Will I be seeing you again?"

The Guardian gave a chuckle. "We'll meet again, just like we met in the taverns, again, and again. See you for now, partner," he gave a kind smile.

Dainard sat in his nest. He heard the rocking of the great airship, and the clanking of the machinery. He was alone in his quarters. Though, he couldn't help but catch a whiff of salty air. "See you for now, partner," he murmured, looking out the window to the vast Plague landscape.
