"We can just sit here, you don't have to talk," Halthi said as she carried on rearranging her quarters.

Zyrotl didn't speak. She just sat down on the bed. All of her armor made it hard to see the Nocturne's expression.

After a while of silence, Zyrotl spoke, "I just don't get it. I don't get why we were chosen. So much hardship, and for what?" The Nocturne fidgeted with her claws.

Halthi looked at Zyrotl and set down the trinket she was holding. "I wonder the same, sometimes."

"We didn't have to face hardships. Nobody should have to. Even through such, I'm glad mine brought me to you all." Halthi continued.

Zyrotl huffed as she continued to stare off. "As much as what we do pains me, I guess we are some of the few to bear this burden."

"And we'll share it together."
