Hoque

Hoque is a cheeky and wild Mirror Dragon



Home and History

Born in Opal Cliffside to a warrior and a wandering merchant. Hoque grew up with his siblings in the Sandstone Caverns. Despite being raised by merchants Hoque could never shake off the need for action. His impatience grew as he aged, and he found it harder and harder to avoid lashing out to release his pent-up restlessness. As soon as he found himself skilled enough, he chose to join the mercenaries of Scavenger's Covet.


Personality and Hobbies

Hoque is a kind dragon despite his sharp sense of humor. He is socially intelligent and good at focusing on the task at hand. Hoque is a dragon of action, needing to constantly be on the move with a mission on hand, because of this Hoque often takes jobs that include patrolling an area and driving off threats.


Familiar and Social Bonds


Thorn: Hoque encountered the Basilisk nicknamed Screamer during one of his patrols in which the rooster continuously would pop out and challenge Hoque and his patrol. Screamer was scared off several times only to come back angrier and at some point Hoque made the decision to take the crazy bird back to the tribe for a laugh. This decision was later regretted as the Basilisk refuses to leave and is now the whole tribe's problem.


Kollu: Hoque's mother Kollu left him and his sibling with merchants at a young age. Hoque rarely sees his mother due to their paths rarely crossing, though when they do see each other Hoque will sit with her and proudly tell her of his accomplishments.


Lix: Lix is Hoque's father. Lix didn't raise Hoque or his siblings but would check in to assure they were safe and happy. Hoque looks up to his father, with Lix being an accomplished warrior. Hoque will ask his father for help with fighting whenever they see each other, with Lix seeming more than willing to spar with his son, much to Hoque's joy.


Spox: Hoque continues to share a den with his sister Spox even after having joined the mercenaries. When the two happen to be in the den at the same time they will discuss their plans and the missions they took. Outside the den they rarely encounter each other due to the different nature of their tasks, with Spox often working with the merchants and Hoque choosing to patrol the territory.


Frolt: Hoque will occasionally be paired up with Frolt during his patrols. The two dragons' will talk about whatever comes to mind during their patrols, the topics often being about the things they are currently seeing such as a change in the landscape. Even while chatting Frolt and Hoque are on alert for threats they may encounter, Folt's larger form letting him see spots that Hoque doesn't have a good viewpoint for. Hoque enjoys the other dragon's company, finding him very kind and willing to listen.


Porome: Porome helped raise Hoque and his siblings when they were hatchlings. The older dragon would help care for a teach Hoque whatever he wanted to learn. Seeing Hoque's need for action, it was Porome who first suggested he think about joining the mercenaries. To this day Hoque will visit Porome, whom he looks up to.


Azik: Azik is one of Hoque's best friends and partner in crime. When together the two seem to lose most of their impulse control, causing the not so occasional mishap. Luckily the Mirrors can be serious if the situation becomes dire and are a force to be wary of should either be threatened.
