Biography

Curia
Curia is a radiobiologist, studying the effects of radiation on the body. She originally came from the Starfall Isles, where she noticed early signs of radiation on the population. At Fineas's advice when she came to interview him about the fish he had found, she came to the Clan of the Striking Bolt to work with Giardia to study the affected creatures.

But when she arrived, she fell head over heels for Pilane. As Pilane works in nuclear physics, there was a lot of overlap between their fields, and they naturally worked together. The two fell deeply in love, and became mates as well as coworkers. Curia now visits Pilane nigh-constantly, both to talk to her mate and to work on their studies surrounding radioactivity.

Curia's focus has changed. Her focus is still in radiobiology, but has less of a focus on the creatures of the Starfall Isles now. Now, she wants to cure radiation sickness and mutations altogether. Pilane believes that nuclear physics are the answer to draining her radiation and freeing her, but Curia believes that she needs to cure everyone around Pilane instead. Either way, the two will free Pilane from her prison, one way or another.

In addition to her usual studies, Curia is in contact with Geiger, who lives nearby. Curia is one of the only dragons who openly believes in Geiger's theory about radiation in the Starfall Isles, and has reached out to try and communicate him about potential ways to clear out the radiation. Unfortunately, their personalities are proving incompatible. Curia is quiet and determined, responsible and selfless; Geiger has been worn down by his superiors refusing to listen to him and is irritable and obsessive about the topic. The two keep butting heads, and nothing has been done about the problem at all.
