The first thing the hatchlings see are stars. Glittering flickering specks of light, shifting faintly across what appears to be a piece of sky held all around them. They can feel fur, soft and warm. They can hear a voice, perhaps, or is it many? Something, someone, is singing, and they can only try their best to understand what those words mean. One is close to them, though, one of three nearby they can hear. Four sets of eyes squint as the stars move, causing them to topple over as they try to follow them.

A soft chuckle snaps them out of their stupor, their attention turning to two other figures nearby. One gives a Cheshire grin to the little ones, more like a large cat than a dragon. The other gives a softer smile, a foxlike figure coated in moss, mud, twigs and leaves. The first voice nudges the four, pushing little fuzzy forms to the forefront as the three parents fawn over their little ones. Pups or kits, or perhaps something else entirely, one thing is clear to each one. With the starsong of their mother, the attunement to nature from one father, and the deep-rooted love of knowledge of the third, these children would find little standing in the way of their dreams.
