Yukari is the clan's advisor, he works with people who live outside of the castle and answers their pleas, discusses their grievances and all around tries to help them out. However, this isn't as easy as it seems. As Yukari does not have any contacts with any of the higher ups in the castle, apart from Mitsuki.
Put in charge by Mitsuki, Yukari is supposed to contact him in order to solve problems inside the clan and make it a better place, at least, that was what he was told. Instead, Mitsuki is hard to contact and seems to disregard any requests the advisor has, to his dismay. This brings Yukari great distress, he often feels terrible for not being able to properly help his clients, and having to give out empty promises he most likely cannot keep. Despite this, Yukari still values his job greatly, and tries his best every second of the day.

Despite his seemingly important job, the advisor lives outside the castle. As Mitsuki put it, "The denizens of the castle do not have any problems you could solve~", this perplexes Yukari. He hasn't been in the castle more than once, but could life really be so perfect in there? He wishes he could make life as easy for the inhabitants of the clan. Yukari feels as if his job doesn't amount to much, he has often failed to properly help clients many times, but still receives a handsome amount of money for his work. Almost as if Mitsuki doesn't know whether he's doing a good job or not. However, Yukari does not care much for money, seeing the shiny bags of coins he receives at the end of every month only makes him feel worse at times.

Being an advisor, this requires him to keep notes on all of his clients. He has many notebooks filled with arbitrary information about clan members, such as what time they wake up, what their occupation is, their age, who they live with and even more obscure information such as favorite food, forms of entertainment they enjoy and the like. Mitsuki sometimes asks him for information that seems arbitrary, such as eye color. Yukari believes this is a test, to figure out whether he is actually doing his job or just standing at his office.

Yukari has had many different clients, more than he could count. However, one client stuck out to him in particular, Nohigan. He had a very irregular pattern of visiting Yukari, sometimes coming for more than once a week, something which was normally not allowed, or sometimes he wouldn't come for weeks. Until one day, Nohigan stopped coming at all. Despite Nohigan's incoherent rambling at most times, Yukari remembers clearly what every meeting was about, his missing loved one. A deeply disturbing case, Nohigan would recount the day she went missing over and over, begging Yukari to let him see her again. Every time, Yukari would tell him that it was going to be okay, and that he would ask Mitsuki for more information, and perhaps even let Nohigan in the castle. To this, Mitsuki actually did respond. However, it wasn't an answer Yukari was hoping for. The head of housekeeping did not just reply with a simple "declined" no, Yukari was told to stop helping his client, and that the answers would eventually find their way to him.

But of course, Yukari did not push his client away, instead he opted to not speak to Mitsuki about it anymore, helping Nohigan in secret. His client may have picked up on that, as Yukari noticed him coming less frequently in his final appointments. During these meetings, Nohigan would become increasingly distressed and frantic, if he wasn't being incoherent he would beg the advisor to be let inside the castle, or speak with one of the higher ups. To which, Yukari finally gave in and went to Mitsuki once more. Explaining the situation, the advisor was expecting him to be furious, but instead Mitsuki only replied with a simple smile. Yukari was told the date Nohigan was scheduled to have an appointment in the castle and was to tell his client.

After the scheduled meeting, Nohigan had stopped coming for weeks. Worrying that Mitsuki might have done something to him, he almost wanted to confront the head of housekeeping himself. However, the advisor decided to wait just a while longer. One day, Nohigan showed up again. He walked into Yukari's office without saying a word. He couldn't quite tell what was going through his client's head, but he did not seem well. Nohigan came up to his counter and placed a neatly packaged box on it, before glancing one last look into the advisor's eyes, and then left. Of course, right after he left, Yukari had immediately opened the box. The curiosity killed him. There was only one object inside the tiny box, A well-used turquoise quill. Despite it's wear, the quill worked amazingly and was of obvious high quality. It was a mystery how his client had gotten it, but Yukari was ever so grateful.

"Something this expensive.. As a gift to me..?"
