Biography

Juniper was born in the Shifting Expanse when her parents visited so that her mother, Anvil, could explore the possibility of expanding her blacksmithing skills to involve electronics. Growing up, Juniper enjoyed assisting her mother and playing with electronics, and developed the skills to make simple repairs to most basic electronic systems. However, as she got older, it became more obvious that electronics was not for her. She often found herself drawn to the shoals overlooking the vast beyond, and that she could see swirling masses dancing across the water of the horizon. With the help of Yew, her ice-borne father, she discovered that she could focus those images if that water was frozen into ice. Though this stronger perception of these visions provides more insight for Juniper, it is incredibly frustrating for her considering having an ice dragon following her around at all times seems fairly impractical - considering there is a potential for her sight to activate within the presence of any water. As such, she has worked with her mother and the weaponsmith, Cedrela, to design herself a staff imbued with ice magic in that she can channel her own lightning magic to activate a chill that will briefly freeze a surface for her divinations.

Naturally, it makes sense that Juniper's favourite place is the Southern Icefield, and she travels there frequently. She often returns to Mossgarde with food she's caught in the Icewarden's domain - preserved so not to rot on the journey back to the Viridian Labyrinth. Some wonder why she doesn't move to the Southern Icefield, but if asked she gives only one response - "it isn't home."
