Hyza

Iceshadow’s younger sister, feels overshadowed by him and wants to be better than him. Tries to seem very responsible and grown-up, and in some ways she is—she’s very intelligent and precocious—but she’s still very much a child in some ways, and it’s obvious to everyone except her. Hyza is very entitled and thinks that because of her family/station everyone should be bowing to her every whim. Which they… kind of do, because they have to. But also because she throws legendary tantrums when they don’t. She could be a capable leader someday, but she has a lot of growing up to do first.

As Iceshadow’s younger sister and the youngest child of the former leader, Hyza is a princess. She tries to pretend that her father and older sisters’ deaths didn’t hurt her, and that she’s just glad to have less competition for the throne, but it’s not hard to tell that isn’t true. Iceshadow worries for her, but she’s too proud and prickly and won’t let him in (he thinks wryly that she’s a little too much like him and their other family members in that regard), and he’s too busy to really make the effort to get through to her.
