The Frontier | he/him


Personality: Iceshadow is responsible, knowledgeable, and intelligent, and has done an admirable job leading the Frontier the past couple of years, but it’s obviously taken a toll on him. He keeps up a strong front for his people, but inside he’s constantly exhausted and doubting himself, if he’s making the right choices, if his parents would have done better. What Iceshadow really needs is a confidant, a friend, someone he can spill his worries to… but he has no one. Hyza is too little, and it’s not proper for a leader to vent his worries to his subjects. So he bottles it all up. (Darkmorning becomes that sorely-needed confidant again, eventually.)


Backstory: Current ruler of the Frontier, despite his young age. Assumed the throne very suddenly after his father and older sister, the crown princess, died unexpectedly.

Darkmorning
Iceshadow's childhood best friend who left the Frontier years ago. Even though it's not much more than a pipe dream, Iceshadow sometimes wonders what his life would have been like if he'd gone with. Could he have escaped the weight of all his responsibilities? Could their relationship have grown into something they'd both secretly always wanted? Iceshadow thought that was all in the past, but now Darkmorning has suddenly turned back up, and those old questions and feelings are resurfacing.
