Personality: Hyza tries to seem very responsible and grown-up, and in some ways she is—she’s very intelligent and precocious—but she’s still very much a child in some ways, and it’s obvious to everyone except her. Hyza is very entitled and thinks that because of her family/station everyone should be bowing to her every whim. Which they… kind of do, because they have to - but also because she throws legendary tantrums when they don’t. She could be a capable leader someday, but she has a lot of growing up to do first.


Backstory: As Glacierclaw's youngest daughter, Hyza is Iceshadow's little sister and a princess of the Frontier. She is not yet an adult, and was very young when her father and older sister were killed. She tries to pretend that their deaths didn’t hurt her and that she’s just glad to have less competition for the throne, but it’s not hard to tell that isn’t true.

Hyza's older brother. She feels overshadowed by him and wants to be better than him, but secretly also craves his attention and approval.

Rimefall
Hyza's cousin. Hyza dislikes Rimefall because she's one of very few dragons who aren't afraid of Hyza, and so she treats her like the child she is. Rimefall acts like an affectionate big sister towards her, which is something Hyza has never had and doesn't know how to deal with (but maybe secretly doesn't mind as much as she acts like she does...?)

Darkmorning
Mistrusts him because he left the Frontier when she was too young to remember and because he uses magic, and dislikes that he's competition for Iceshadow's attention. Eventually she'll come to respect him.
