Biography
Ress
Winter in the desert isn’t nearly as intense as it is in say, the Southern Icefield, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chill that lurks its way through the air and begins nipping at the dragons’ wingtips. And when winter begins to sink its claws into Electrician’s Edge, the question of protecting the garden arises. Ress is the dragon who has been put in charge of protecting the clan’s gardens from winter’s bite.
He races around rapidly through most of the year, checking soil moisture and setting tarps and wraps and adjusting the heat index in the gardens, chasing down Dawnwing to encourage him to raise the temperature and conferring with the other gardeners about this season’s crops and how resilient they are and panicking about the harvest right alongside Summercrisp. Ress takes his job extremely seriously, and if even a single leaf gets a nibble of frostbite on its tips, Ress will take it extremely harshly and judge himself as a failure.
If you can get Ress to calm down and stop racing around — usually only possible at the beginning of springtime, after the winter has ended and Ress has been able to confirm all the plants survived — you will find that Ress is very mature and elegant, much like his twin brother, Mascen. The two are very similar in terms of both looks and personality, and guests looking for one of the two will usually go looking for “the blue Skydancer gardener with the aristocratic air” and find the wrong one.
