Demona

Zakiax travelled across the seas to the Southern Icefield during his solitary exploration of Sornieth. There, he met a terse, pragmatic Nocturne called Demona. She lived alone in a craggy mountaintop in the most dangerous part of the Icewarden’s realm. Roaming packs of rogue dragons would attack anyone who didn’t keep their wits about them. Demona’s stony scales and icy underbelly helped her blend in with the frosty mountains so her enemies couldn’t find her. She let Zakiax stay with her for several nights and eventually agreed to join him on his travels. She told him everything she knew about the Southern Icefield, but nothing about her own past. Her heart was as stony as her exterior. She remained unsympathetic and cold until she met Goliath, a shadowy dragon from the Nature Flight.

Demona immediately began to take a liking to the strange Nocturne who was so unlike the other members of his flight. They valued growth and new life, but Goliath preferred to spend his days shrouded in darkness. The two of them became mates for life, attracted to each other because of how they favored practicality above optimism. They make a formidable pair. Even Zakiax acknowledges their strength and power.

These days, Demona serves as a general under Zak’s command. She has sworn to defend his clan to her last dying breath. Her familiar, Stonewarth, remains steadfastly by her side as she continues her studies of combat. She blends tactics used by Ice Flight dragons with Fire Flight strategies to create a new form of fighting that no dragon has ever seen before. As always, she leans on Goliath for support. Demona hesitates to use the word “love,” but if she were to let anyone into her icy heart, it would be the Nocturne she decided to spend the rest of her life with.
