Biography

Goliath’s original home was on the boarder between The Viridian Labyrinth and The Tangled Wood. Most Nature dragons living near the Shadow realm do not allow darkness to enter their hearts. However, this ambitious Nocturne relished in the haunting practices of the Shadowbinder and her servants. He spent his days studying different types of dark magic— particularly the kind that brings other dragons back from the dead. Goliath lost his parents at a young age. He grew up believing it was his fault because his cruel uncle told him as much. In reality, Goliath's family was murdered by the very dragon who raised him. Still, this tortured Nocturne continued to try and find different ways to bring his parents back to him. He has yet to succeed, and practices witchcraft in secret, knowing his clanmates would never approve.

Zakiax came into contact with Goliath shortly after he met Demona. Goliath was taken by the icy dragon’s mysterious, no-nonsense manner. He pined after her like a lovesick puppy until she finally returned his affections. Little did he know that she had been attracted to him the entire time and was just waiting until she was certain of his character. The two of them joined Zakiax on many of his quests in Sornieth, eventually fighting alongside him when his clan waged war against Azarel. Goliath continues to be a loyal ally and close confidante of Zak’s, keeping an eye out for far-off enemies and potential spies.

Goliath has given up the dark arts for the most part, but he still pretends to summon dark forces when he wants to scare away nosy hatchlings. He mostly relies on Demona to guide him towards a better path, helping her raise their offspring and keeping her close by his side. Zakiax trusts Goliath enough to keep his secrets and the Nocturne lives up to his leader’s expectations. However, he’ll occasionally let a word or two slip to Demona if she’s inclined to ask him. Zak’s aware of this, so he doesn’t tell Goliath anything he wouldn’t want Demona to know. The pair of them plan to live together under Zakiax's protection until the end of time.
