Maybe it was because of her reckless personality. Maybe it was because her methods were too risky. Maybe they simply didn't like her.
Pimple had managed to find a mentor to teach her about anatomy, medicine, and magic. It was easy to root for the bright young student, but it quickly became clear that her ambition would take her down more... unethical roads.
Maybe it was because she asked the questions nobody should have asked. Maybe it was the nights spent awake reading textbooks on harsher medicinal tactics. Maybe it was her obsession of finding the most efficient cures for any ailment, even if it wasn't safe for anyone.
Her mentor called her into the lab one day to tell her she would no longer be their mentee. She was not fit to be a surgeon if she would endanger her patients in the name of the efficiency she preached.
But it didn't really matter. She had learned everything she needed to. Now she just needed to find a clinic that would take her.
