Originally, I thought there was only one entry into the web infested caverns below the consulate. But after some extensive exploring I have come to find a variety of tunnels. Not only that, but visible paths along the rocks. By chance of faith I actually crossed paths with the withered dragon responsible for these pathways, only to be avoided by them. Admittedly, this one had me stumped, and I almost thought of it as a tactic in order for me to drop my guard. But instead the undertide simply slithered down another path. Had it not been for their bone like patterns, I might have missed them down here. It wasn't until we came within mer feet of each other one faithful encounter did I realize they were carrying something deceased within their jaws. Just scrapes of rot and bone of something that once was that dangled in between their fangs. Curiosity got the better of me, and I tailed them for a while cautiously, though I suspect they knew I was there anyway. Eventually we ended up in a part of the caves I had yet to discover, with the smell of death reeking the air. The closer we got, the more I thought it strange that the usual cobwebs and colonys of bugs I have come to associate with this place was non-existent here. As if even the infestation itself refused to make its home here. And soon enough we came to a deep pit, dark and seemingly endless. Down the remains went, never did I hear the echo of it's weight smacking against stone. There was a moment of silence for the unfortunate soul, until the keeper of this crypt started back to fetch another. I still pass this one while venturing the caves, and each time they are carrying a corpse. What a sorrowful look their face has.
