 Vex - Entry 9: Analyzing this guardian was a rather uncanny experience for me. And while it is normal for it to take sometime pin pointing whom a withered once was within our clan; I have yet to find record of this dragon anywhere in my scrolls. Which leads me to believe this is yet another traveler who (for whatever reason) came here from far away. Though this one is not like the Banescale I met, this one has a rather lifeless aura about her. At first I suspected she had contracted the illness that inhabits the land here, but after more examining I was stumped! She didn't seem to experience any of the average symptoms the wither endure. Matter of fact, the longer I watched the more her lifeless aura became apparent to me. I have also uncovered that she speaks in chirps and grunts; very primitive. Day 3 of stalking this individual, I almost considered approaching them until I was thankfully given a reason not to. I witnessed one of the weaker withered just so happen to cross paths with this guardian, and almost instantly it was as if she sprang to life! Latching onto the withers's neck and snapping it with such a brutal force... Just so she could start to lap at their blood pooling onto the dirt below. A horrific site indeed. I considered myself sort of use to the frightful tendencies of dragons within the Consulate. But that one... I think I may have to proceed into the consulate with extra precaution so to avoid her at all costs. My gut is telling me there is something much more sinister at work within that guardian. Something I wish to stay blissfully ignorant about. |
