Biography
Harrow stood frozen as he stared at the second creature covered in gaping maws filled with razor sharp white teeth. This second specimen looked just as dangerous as the first. He wasn't frozen in fear, but rather amazement. Then it clicked. He wasn't horrified by the strange things he was learning about anymore. The appeal of his chosen profession was starting to sink in. The joys of discovery of new things no dragon had ever seen before, the comfort of learning the old ways, many of which were forgotten in the modern era. His newfound excitement for his job was short lived.
Irulan snapped her apprentice out of his reverie. "Yes, there are two of them. However, they are too large and dangerous to study up close. We'll have to let them have a nest."
"Beg pardon, Mistress, but we're going to do what, now?"
This earned him not the regular side eye for asking the wrong questions, but a full on stare, particularly unnerving coming from an emotionless Fae. The largest Imperial in the clan was once again intimidated into silence by his tiny Fae mentor. "You heard me the first time. You may be extremely large, but do you want to try to hold one of them down for a closer examination? I think not. These two creatures do not seem sentient. Their driving force seems to be unending hunger. We'll feed them, gain their trust, and when the time is right and they build a nest, hopefully we'll have earned their trust enough to handle their hatchlings."
Harrow nodded, seeing the sense in her proposal, and said nothing further the rest of the day.
