Biography
Plague Representative and Sage of Clan Acadie
Irulan was born to a lair of ancient dragons. She was chosen by her birth clan to represent the wisdom of the Plaguebringer to a clan outside of the Scarred Wasteland. She travelled to the Tangled Wood and found a home in Clan Acadie.
Some speculate that she has interests in necromancy, which is a forbidden path for a Plagueling, but none have dared ask. Everyone in the clan is here to escape their past or forge their own path, so everyone figures who are they to judge? Does it matter if she was told rather than asked to leave her previous clan? Not as long as she continues to represent the clan’s interests in negotiations with their Plague neighbors and share her well-travelled and hard-earned knowledge.
Irulan loves hatchlings and young dragons, and may or may not have somehow resuscitated ones who were deceased. She protects all of the clan's young fiercely, and every dragon parent knows their young are safe in her care.
She is the adopted mother of Rán, a dragon whose abandoned egg was found submerged. Many were skeptical of the viability of Rán's egg, given the unknown length of time her egg was submerged. Rán grew up to become a capable, intelligent apprentice to Irulan, even if she is a bit different.
She once returned from scavenging with a young Fae male named Makani. Since he looks like a lot of Faes in the clan, no one questions his appearance, but they do wonder about his origins. Regardless, he is a precious child, and the clan is glad to add him to their number.
Due to her well-travelled background and love of knowledge, no matter its forbidden nature, she has become the sage of the young lair. As both she and the clan are young, her knowledge is not infallible. Although she is aware of Hivemind nests, she is not an expert on the topic, but does the best she can to advise the clan concerning the Hivemind Twelve and the suspicious thirteenth addition. Sadly, her best may not be enough.
