"To seize an opportunity is to obtain more power." Also known as the 'Divine Retribution', Gypsum Tower's Lord of Power is none other than Iskam, a blindfolded imperial male adorned in decadent armor and equipped with a battle-scarred blade. With his bloodstained dark hues and intense presence, it is no question as to how he embodies his Value. As the Embodiment of Power, Iskam represents concepts of physical strength, military prowess, and political soundness. He is the loudest and most forward-thinking of The Four, often presenting new laws and ideas to both secure the clan's future and protect it's members. Though he often takes the reigns in discussions, Iskam's thoughts and ideas are often challenged by Amygdala and reigned in by the far more gentle Saigyouji, keeping that unrivaled ambition in check. Besides duties of the council, Iskam also takes on a position of charge over the clan's military, often giving the First and Second Generals - Adranos and Apollo - orders. Like the other Four Lords, Iskam was blessed with an ability relating to his domain upon his ascension. When revealing his eyes and projecting his voice, any within his sight who are capable of hearing his voice are instilled with abstract terror and forced to subject themselves to their own fight or flight instinct. This ability will force shape-shifted dragons to revert to their true forms, and can interrupt spell casters, voiding their spells. More obviously, it will devolve entire rooms into a panic-stricken mayhem as any subjected to his power attempt to flee for their lives whilst forcefully transforming into much larger and more dangerous forms. This ability lasts for only a few minutes depending on the mental fortitude of his target. Outside of political appearances, Iskam is rarely seen around The Tower. He often stays confined to his personal office or the Throne Room of his own volition, where one can undoubtedly find him working. Though he will take visitors on official business, one must schedule an appointment with him in order to do so, as the imperial does not respond to social calls. There are very few dragons he will set aside his busy schedule for in order to commune with. Any others who are fortunate enough to catch him willing to socialize will only find that he is as official and regal casually as he is when appearing in council debates. Though he has a vicious temper, his is a silent and seething anger that only touches his tone and does not cloud his judgement... Though it may set his sights on revenge if he is wronged. It might be best not to drive him to the point of desiring proper reprisal, as he received his alternate alias for a reason. |
- Though Iskam is by far the most intimidating, he's actually the shortest of the Four Lords.
- He holds special disdain for Lord Amygdala. Really can't stand the guy.
- Iskam is by no means blind, despite the cover over his eyes.
