Might go ahead and gene ya into one of the scries below! But for now, cute little spiral boi with some lore to go with his brother!

Lore Notes:

One of the middle brothers of the nest
Smaller version of the older brother Leviathan
Stuck around close to his parents
Despite being a yin, he was close with Azira
Still a little creature, ofc
Often stole books just to read them on his own after Azi stopped reading to him at night
Got hooked on the old story of his parents and the Not-Pocalypse
Decided he wanted to learn more about those who helped
Did a lot of digging (some questionable, others surprisingly easy)
Surprisingly easily distracted by Anathema's role in the tale
Snuck out one day to try and learn how to be like her
Figured he should look for those who study this sort of thing
Had a few failed attempts with old Water seers and some Arcaneflight clans
Doesn't really know how he wound up on the outskirts of Sailuma in the end
Most would go to the Spire to study, but not Malachi
Malachi figured he could learn more on the outskirts, from the ruins of Arcadia
Went digging around for old books, trying to learn more about magic
Instead found out more about the ancients
Thought long and hard on things before deciding he needed to be something else
If he wasn't stuck as a Spiral, maybe he could tap into the magic of the ancients
Snatched a few of the old anatomy books and began studying in a room he rented out for himself
Kept running into obstacles when it came to figuring out how to change himself without modern scrolls
Owners of the home didn't really know why he didn't just go to the Spire to study this sort of magic
Thought Malachi was trying to figure out how to make breed change scrolls, which as far as they knew was the only way to change the form of a drake
Eventually word was sent to his parents about his current goals
Celeste intercepted the letter and decided to go try and help his brother
While Celeste tries to figure this out through the Spire, he gives Malachi advice out of class
Malachi eventually thinks he's figured it out
Tries it on himself
Celeste comes home to a very confused Curious Mith
Signs all over the room show there were other beastclan there too
Takes him a moment to figure out the Mith is Malachi
Grabs all his notes, and Malachi, then takes off for the Spire to help change his brother back
Scholars don't know whether they should be impressed or concerned
Going off Samhain's response, the proper reaction would be amusement
Eventually pulled aside by Rhian, one of the Grand Scholars
With her help, managed to turn Malachi back
She didn't answer his questions about how this was clearly possible without scrolls
Eventually called in Razael to talk
Had a surprisingly deep conversation, revealing the Grand Scholars had been ancients themselves once
Gave Malachi a lot of insight on the subject before offering a sort of middle ground
He learn at the Spire, but not the bare bones basics coursework
Just study transfiguration magic under the tutelage of Razael and Rhian as personal tutors
Was worried until Celeste offered to join him so he wouldn't be alone
Both now studying how to change themselves without the middle steps of a breed change scroll
Considering becoming an Aether because they were the ones made by the Arcanist, who is literally the god of pure magic
Has some other ideas in mind but doesn't really know if he wants to go with the others just yet
Still steals books and notes to make some hodgepodge spells to try on himself (much to the dismay of his tutors)
