artwork by Golden 		Tharb is a dreamy dragon, drifting slowly through life - so it seems strange to some that her job is being the lair's plumber. It may seem strange to have a plumber in a dragon lair but, as she'll laughingly tell you, even dragons need their water, and it's not just going to fall out of the sky.

Rainwater cisterns are, she'll admit, an important part of the clan's resources, but the clan needs far more water than the scant precipitation of Dragonhome offers. The lair's plumbing brings salt water from the sea for washing, and carrying away waste. It leads that water, once used, through purification chambers and then back to the sea from which it came. These chambers, through which all the clan's liquid waste passes, feed fish, plants, and animals, providing another source of food for the ever-hungry clan. And Tharb rules the entire system, sliding her slim bulk through the tunnels to examine them for cracks, rust, or other potential problems.
