The bustle of the busy shopping square was overwhelming at first, but he loved every second of it. Until a blindingly bright imperial caught his eye...
He wasn't sure what to think at first, aside from "how in the world can a dragon be so bright???" and "she really hurts my eyes. Are all dragons this bright?" Soon, however, his eyes adjusted to her colors, and he observed her from a distance for some time. Asterales started to love the way her colorful scales caught the sunlight, and how beautiful the colors were despite their contrast. He also noticed that she looked a little lonely, so eventually he decided to approach her.

One restaurant visit later, he was in love. He invited her to stay at Quilrarth Clan, she happily agreed, and that was that.

Excali loved Asterales from the moment he approached her - there was just something about his energy and demeanor that made her feel less eye-catching, which she was grateful for. After all, a dragon's eyes might notice her scales, but their ears would notice Asterales long before that. His optimism made her feel safe, like everything in the world would be alright. She nearly gasped out loud when he asked her to come home with him. Now, she's happy to call herself his mate, and loves raising the little ones. His attitude and care for hatchlings always makes her smile!
