Biography
Sigfrithr
~Warrior~
~Warrior~
Sigfrithr is one of those dragons who simply refuse to grow up. And like all such dragons, she isn't the sweet, studious, athletic, etc. type of hatchling. No, she is a complete and utter brat type of hatchling.
It really is a wonder she managed to find a mate at all, and no-one was really surprised when it didn't work out.
Still, they had a couple of clutches together before it all fell apart, and Bjartur even stuck around in the Outpost. Between the two of them, however, it is often assumed that Sigfrithr is the hatchling.
Which, really, she is.
Just not Bjartur's hatchling.
Credit where credit is due, though; she really tries her best to be a good mother. Or at least a good friend, because the whole "mother" thing never really fit her. She doesn't understand her son - why he has chosen to become a scholar, why he doesn't care about strength, why he lets others tell him what to do - but she loves him.
And supports him. Wholeheartedly.
Still, Bjartur has thankfully never seen Sigfrithr as a mother figure, just as his mother. The "mother figure" role went to Brynhildr, Sigfrithr's adopted sister and prime mimicking victim as long as she isn't being "boring," in which case Sigfrithr tends to find other ways to amuse herself, usually by stalking after and bothering one of the other Warriors.
The Warrior faction of the Clan in turn sort of collectively see her as that one annoying little sister that you really want to strangle, but would still protect with extreme prejudice if anyone else tried something.
Which they do.
Often.
Sigfrithr's more than a little brash and reckless, you see, which combined with her maturity level makes sure that she makes a lot of enemies. Enemies she can't always - or even especially often - beat by herself, leading to the Warriors having to fish her out of the situation.
Being the brat she is, Sigfrithr is never the least bit thankful for this, either stating that she "could have taken them!" or simply not seeing why she should be thankful. She's amazing, so of course people'd want to help her.
She's doing them a favour by letting them help her, actually, as that gives them an excuse to be near her own magnificent self.
That means they should be thankful, not her.
Because she says so, and that makes it true.
- Sigfrithr's name means "beautiful victory".
