▾ Born on a chain of islands known as Balabate and left at an orphanage. She doesn’t know anything about her parents aside from one being a yuan-ti and the other being a human.
▾ When she was a teenager, a traveling elven performer stopped by the orphanage to look for apprentices to teach his craft to. The performer had each orphan sing to him. Karagatan’s vocal abilities impressed him the most, so the performer chose her.
▾ Karagatan enjoyed living and traveling with the performer. Some years after she had been recruited by the performer, the two were hired to perform for a wedding held aboard a grand ship.
▾ A fierce storm started up during the wedding, the ship was unable to reach land in time and sank, taking its passengers down with it. Karagatan would be its only surviving passenger.
▾ When Karagatan awoke, she found herself to be in the presence of Ha’almehen, a powerful elemental from the Plane of Water, who wanted her help to help prevent an apocalypse caused by an alien creature known as "The Bridge."
▾ Karagatan agreed to help Ha’almehen, and has since then learned from him how to draw power from the natural world as a druid.
