Icon of The Silver Scale Pack

This is a fandragon of my friend Gheron's OC - a member of the Silver Scale Pack that my OC Diem travels with.

We primarily play these characters during virtual tabletop D&D. All members of the Silver Scale Pack (my DnD crew - in order of finished dragon): Diem (their archfey patron, Ulaigh), Selphina (Fee), Hickory, Rana, and Ixaylanu.

Rana looks like someone magically animated a copper statue, and when she holds still, it's not uncommon for her to be mistaken for one.

Her metallic skin is the color of copper left out in the elements - monochrome, dull, with a patina of blue-green freckles scattered thickly across her face and more lightly across the rest of her body. Her hair color is a slightly darker shade of copper-brown, and it's just long enough to pull it out of her face and into a bun. Her eyes are dark brown, but very human.

Rana has the build of a hard-working human farm girl. She's got a stocky build despite her height, and it's obvious that she's familiar with hard labor. Her arms and legs are thick, and her frame is rather square.
Rana dresses in clothes that require minimal maintenance. Her cloth is well-kept and meticulously mended, and her leathers are oiled and cherished. She keeps her gear relatively clean, though she doesn't seem to mind when her stuff gets dusty or has a few dirt stains. Her only visible ornamentation is a small, oval stone of clear quartz hanging from a cord around her neck. The stone has a small, worn indentation on one side of it.

Rana is a down-to-Earth genasi (pun intended) and Circle of the Land druid, as well as the group's healer and occasional off-tank. She likes gathering plants and materials for use and sale wherever she goes and hates boats or really any traveling over water (comes from the fact she's made of metal and would sink straight down).

Despite being one of the more practical members of the group, she does like to create a little chaos with her spells and abilities. Like that one time she blew herself up with trying to take out an infected undead gnoll. Or that time she caused an earthquake crater in the Shadowwoods by trying to close a cave system filled with deadly space fungus and the magic-amplifying meteorite it flew in on.

Her animal companion is a murder horse named Death in the Trees Hickory. Hickory was inspired by the boghtmaws in "The Summer of Blood and the Bridle" by Louis Fiend. This officially makes Rana what is known as a "Boghtmaw Rider." That being said, her training methods and behavior are just as unconventional among the boghtmaw riders as she herself was among the mostly-normal-civilians of the northern mountain forest town she grew up in.

During one of our adventures we ended up at a harvest festival where Rana and Fee won a pair of rats they named Hamlet and Horatio. So they get matching fanrats with those names but also represented in their apparel with the Dumbo Rat :D

They chose their names using Fee's rat ring (allowing her to talk to rats) and Rana's speak with animals after we all watched the play Hamlet at the end of the day we first got them.

"I have never seen a triple that has such a unique and intriguing look?? Her apparel is honestly brilliantly done. It adds solid contrast while still keeping kind of a cohesive earthy vibe, I really love it. Also her lil dumbo rat and then Hamlet the matching familiar really brings me joy."

"Rana was the first that really caught my eye- specifically how well she fits the description bit of, "Rana looks like someone magically animated a copper statue". She really does, and honestly it's so well done I thought it was a skin at first! I didn't know you could get such a beautiful shiny sheen with those genes. I think the blue accents on the copper is what really makes it pop. I also have to give a nod to Circle of Land Druid... I love the idea of making my DND characters into dragons (or making dragon version of them?) but I'm not sure I quite have the creativity. Either way, Rana deserves her star for sure!!!"
